Swimming By Lynn Htet

On Tuesday at the start of term Four everybody started swimming. We are going to a swimming pool at Maribyrnong. Since we have go to the bus at 11:15 we miss out on break 1 but we still have lunch and a quick game of memory tigi. I didn’t eat to much because eating too much before you go swimming is bad.

Now was the time we went on the bus and go to swimming. I went to one of the little pools but eventually went up a level. When I went up a level the only person I knew was Lenny H.

The First day wasn’t too bad. My group was called the ducks.

A few Days Later Ethan came into my group. He said He got into My group because He was speedy. After a day he said my group was a lot harder than his group.

I knew everything our teacher taught us. That is why I keep on shouting the answers to the questions.

When it was the second last day of swimming, we got to do a lap of freestyle. It was easy. After that I went back to the little pool to have my normal lesson. I did some floating and underwater diving and I think freestyle. When it was time to practice the emergency thing we had to go out of the water, I was getting cold. Luckily I went back to the pool 10 seconds later and had a game. When the lesson was done I went to the change and everybody went crazy and shouted really loud. I was Fortunate and got done quickly. Unfortunately I could still hear the screaming

Swimming by Ethan.

Swimming

At the start of swimming, I was very excited and stuff, but the one downside is the worst downside .Which was the bathers; the thing with swimming is that when you have to wait until you can get in the bus you get hot, practically burning in the heat. In addition, you have your bathers underneath and the heat is not getting out.

And guess what? I got in the same group as last time- the ladybugs. I honestly didn’t know why.  But the good thing was I was promoted to the ducks.  It might have been when I was diving pretty deep when we were doing dolphin dive ,but I’m just happy I didn’t have to be in the same group as last time.

In swimming we did breaststroke, backstroke, survival backstroke, freestyle, floating, and probably more stuff that I just forgot.

And the last day was the best one because we got to go do inflatable stuff and they combined the pools together. But the thing was I was in the lower groups. I only went to the small inflatable and I thought it was a bad thing. But it was better because it wasn’t just a giant obstacle course.

It had little things that you could sit and ride on. Since it was hard, everyone was falling off which meant there were more spaces but it was hard to stay on.

But  all in all,  swimming is very, very fun and I love it even though I do not swim very often but I still love it (kinda…).

Camp In The Forest… – Dom

September 8, 2017 by lynnhtetdlj

CAMP IN THE FOREST…

I hopped on Bus 2 throwing my luggage on the bus behind. We were going on camp! I was excited on the Bus, also bored but luckily, my friend Lynn Htet was sitting next to me and we made up funny raps about people eating lawn mowers and stuff like that.

It took about one and a half hours to get there but to me it felt about 5 hours! But we eventually did get there and drove up the dirt road past the soon to be used rope course and ‘leap of faith.’ When we pulled in the parking lot and collected our luggage we carelessly plonked our stuff down, keeping our backpacks with us.

We walked down the stairs and were told the camp rules and assigned our groups. Then, one by one, our groups assembled in the leadership centre where we ate lunch, which was burgers by the way. Anyway, I was sitting outside eating my delicious burger, which was made of a delicious patty, crunchy iceberg lettuce topped with a sticky, red tomato ketchup. Scrumptious. We heard music, which was meant to call us back to the leadership centre. We lined up in groups, and as we got assigned group leaders, I heard two birds fly past. As we walked  to our first activity  I overheard the other group behind us say- “They’re jumping off a telephone pole!” My first thought was- “Great, 10 out of 10 Dom, unlucky again.” Then we saw it, the leap of faith…

I was shocked, amazed, Roald Dahl would say: “Frogs wallop!” Yeah you get the point. It was high, VERY HIGH. TOO HIGH. Too high to handle. I thought I was going to vomit in amazement. And now it was MY TURN. As I walked nervously up to the harness, which, phew, was there, I thought, why did I return the permission slip, why? Anyway, I got slipped in, walked to the ladder, which was, unsafely, held up by only a skinny little pole and a person. I stepped up onto the first metal rung, then the second, then the third etc. I had made it, where to though you ask? Oh, ONLY THE FLAMIN’ TOP OF THE COURSE BABY! Plus, I stood up! The rest was an extremely scary blur. I jumped, that’s all I can say. I jumped. I landed. I felt good, really good. Next, I went down to pull off my harness. Then I swapped with someone and started belaying. It was tough, yet fun.

After that we had dinner, delicious. Then we went to bed, in our noisy little cabins, where we talked and talked and talked. About what? Our lives, our tiny lives.  I was placed in a cabin with Leo. H, Zach. D and Charles. D. I cannot believe I actually slept that night!

When I got up it was 6:30 and boy was I hyped! There was no point in getting back to sleep so I started to get up for the day. Clothes on, teeth brushed, hair brushed, play Gaga- wait you don’t usually play Gaga at 7:00 in the morning! Gaga is a game where you hit the ball at people below the waist to get them out. Once you get out you don’t get back in until the next round, so you just watch outside of the court. Gaga starts when somebody chucks the ball in the air, on the first bounce you say ‘Ga!’ the second bounce you say ‘Ga!’ and the last bounce you say ‘GO!’ and the game starts. I came third! Yay!

I loved camp! It was awesome!

CROSS COUNTRY BY LYNN HTET

CROSS COUNTRYBY LYNN HTET

The day was great when cross country came along. Shar invited some parents to help. I only knew one of them and it was Satchiko.

When Cross country was about to start I felt hyper but nervous and excited. It was weird. When the race started I was okay and felt like it was fun. I was near the front when I started but then I came near last. I made it to two laps and came along to the third but that’s when things went uncontrollably wrong. I felt like I was sick so I had to walk.

I came thirty sixth and was incredibly exhausted. I had to take two water bottles; WATER BOTTLES.

It was time for library.  CREATED by Lynn Htet

THE FETE LYN HTET

THE FETE BY LYNN HTET

Today was the fete! As soon as school ended everybody rushed over to the fete as soon as possible.

I couldn’t find my mum because the crowd was too busy. My mum gave me 50  dollars to spend! I bought 4 raffle tickets for the rides. Unfortunately, the sizzler(chacha) wasn’t working.

I was getting hungry so I bought a hot dog. It was DELICIOUS!! I bought three lucky dips and 2 lucky bags. THEY WERE  AWESOME! I got a pen, candy necklace, and a skim ball.

I went on the giant slide 4 times because the sizzler was broken. It was fun!

I was about to leave with my mum but I noticed my brother was gone somewhere at the fete. I  was rushing to find my brother and of course, he was buying a hot-dog. He was about to buy a hot-dog, then I told him we were about to go. So he bought a hot dog then we went back home.

IT WAS AMAZING.
